It’s SPRING!

I’m behind on my Spring Equinox post, so I hope yours was excellent. I had a weekend of crazy-walking-adventure in New York followed by a couple days of work and second weekend of crazy-presenting-adventure at Paganicon. My panel went really well, and I had a blast, and I now have a firm topic for the sequel to Defying Shadows, but it was a lot of peopleing two weekends in a row. I am so freaking tired.

fAngus says I should get back to work.

This weekend I will need to stop myself from doing any yard work because it’s only March and it hasn’t been warm enough to let any hibernators emerge from their sleep yet. But I’m planning, so much planning.

This is the year to create a spiral herb garden in a sunny spot in the yard, and it’s going to be lovely.

It’s also the spring of ALL THE HOUSING ANGST. We loved a house not far from us enough to make an offer. Ultimately, we couldn’t come to an agreement that suited our family, which is a bummer, but it did get us looking at our own house for improvements, decluttering (the thought of packing up 6 people’s stuff as it is now is…daunting), and making it the way we want for the future. It never made a ton of sense to me to update a house to sell it: why not live in the nice new place you’ve created?

But I’m also sad we decided against the new place, even if it was an overwhelming and scary level of change. In this season of transition, remember that even the best change is always hard. And that’s what I’ll remind people when it’s time to clean out the GIANT bin of miscellaneous Legos (seriously, it’s a moving-tote sized bin, completely full).
